Nike Lab Sock Dart x Stone Island

Captured by Anil Hanasoge

I got my first pair of Sock Darts last summer and they are by far the most comfortable Nike lifestyle shoes I’ve ever had. Depending on the width of your feet, you can adjust the strap to close in with a snug fit that basically holds your foot. The NikeLab Sock Dart x Stone Island is no different.

Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield in 2002, this collaborative take is the first to envision the Sock Dart in a mid cut. It’s also been made water-resistant. I’ve worn these in the rain and still my feet were dry!

The fact that the shoe is in collaboration with Stone Island means there are some massive upgrades. I tried them on yesterday and the winterized outsole definitely gave me some grip on the streets. Not to mention, as written on, “The Italian brand achieves a combined graphic look and advanced functionality. The engineered print — a first for Nike and a testament to Stone Island’s legacy of textile innovation — gives the shoe’s upper a fading dégradé effect, guarantees both zonal protection and breathability and helps maintain the Sock Dart’s signature flexibility.”

Good blend of fashion and sport culture, the black ones are easy to dress up or down with. v cool. – Teddy Fantum
